Reverend Eddie L. Moore was born July 8, 1958 to Mrs. Jimmy Lee Anthony and the late Mr. Grover Anthony. Reverend Moore is married to Mrs. Barbara J. Drakeford-Moore. Through their union he has one step-son and one grandson. Reverend Moore graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1977 and continued his education at Clinton Jr. College. Reverend Moore graduated from Clinton Jr. College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. He furthered his education at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, where he studied Political Science. He pledged and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Reverend Moore is the Pastor of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church in Liberty Hill, South Carolina, where he has served for the past twenty (20) years.
Reverend Moore is also serving in the Lancaster County School District as he works with children with special needs. He was recently appointed as Vice President of Region Five of the Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina and is the First Vice-Moderator of the Mount Mariah Baptist Association of Kershaw County, South Carolina. Reverend Moore is a lifetime member of the Lancaster Branch of the NAACP as well as the past chair person for the Lancaster County Race Relations Coalition. He was the first African American to ever be elected to the Heath Springs Town Council in 1991 and he still holds his seat. He is the Program Chair Person for the United Citizens Center of Heath Springs, South Carolina. Most recently, Reverend Moore became a member of the Masonic Lincoln Lodge Number 162.
Reverend Moore lives by the words of the Apostle Paul that can be found in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
